Over the past few months we have looked at the way that music can help to heal our bones, heart, lungs, nervous systems, glands, digestion, muscles, reproductive organs and elimination. We have also learned that everything is energy and energy is vibration.
Music is powerful because it is all about vibrations. However, it is important to be aware that not all vibrations are healthy, so we need to be mindful when we are choosing what to listen to.
Also, music doesn’t just affect humans, but animals and plants as well. It has now been proved that cows will produce more milk and be healthier when sung to or when gentle classical music is played nearby.
Experiments have also shown that plants will grow strongly when placed next to classical music but die when placed near heavy rock.

The healing power of high frequency vibrations has been recognised for a long time. Crystal Bowls were used for healing by the Ancient Egyptians from as early as 3100 BCE.
Pythagoras, circa 500 BCE, used the vibrations of the recitation of poetry for healing.
More recently, Handel (1685 – 1759) believed that his music could heal, while Farinelli (1705 – 1782) was an Italian castrato opera singer who would call ill people to his concerts so they could recover.
If you would like to listen to some relaxing, healing music, here is my track ‘Floating Clouds’ from my album ‘Compassion’. You can also find my music on Spotify and other online channels.

But for now, it is summer and time to spend some quality time away from our screens. I’ll write again in September. Meanwhile, enjoy beautiful music, the sound of nature and plenty of silence.

Sending love and kindness, Laurelle
